Harbourside Market  9/10 & 16/17th

The #FoodRescueAmbulance will be making it’s Bristol debut at the Harbourside Market in the heart of Bristol. We’ll be serving intercepted food ‘waste’ and challenging the city centre’s perceptions about what is food waste & how we need to rethink the structure of the global food economy!

Love Saves the Day  23/24 & Love Saves the Dinner Monday 25th

Come and find us in the Love Games Area where the #FoodRescueAmbulance will become an interactive art installation educating revellers about the injustice of food waste. Think donut sculptures & LED light extravaganza. Come to our Taste the Waste workshop 2pm on Sunday!

We will be providing a zero food waste service to Love Saves the Day collecting all avoidable food waste from the food traders on the Saturday and Sunday evenings.

Join us for Love Saves the Dinner on Monday night at the Crofter’s Rights pub, where we will be cooking a pay-as-you-feel food rescue feast!


Bristol Pound Social- May 27th 5-8pm

Join us May 27th at The Bristol Pound Monthly Social where Co-Director’s Catie & Marianna will be talking about food waste ‘origins’ and the culture of global consumerism. They will look into the specific products that are wasted and their links to future environmental and social problems, whilst giving an overview of why seasonal and local produce works for a less wasteful future.


Food Waste Collab: Social Innovation meets Food Waste – May 27th 8:30am-7pm Paris

Hosted by the Food Surplus Entrepreneurs Network and EU Fusions, this event brings together social innovators who tackle food waste from across Europe. The Food Waste Collab offer these changemakers a platform to broadcast their innovations to policy makers, industry and researchers. Here is a snapshot of the programme:

1. Designing an ecosystem of social innovators to reduce food waste.
2. Business models to fight food waste.
3. Needs and priorities to support and connect social innovators.

Co-Director Sam Joseph will be presenting the work of the Real Junk Food Project network and it’s answer to the food waste problem.

Best Before Disco: It’s Going Off!  May 29th @ Crofter’s Rights

Hate Waste Love Disco? Skipchen are ‘going off’ for the summer in the #FoodRescueAmbulance on a #skiptour. To celebrate our time in Stokes Croft, the community created, the love and support we gained and the hard work of all the incredible volunteers who made Skipchen possible,  we invite you to PARTY WITH A CAUSE with us & help us raise money for the Skipchen Solar Project in Calais Migrant Camp!
